~*Teen Violence in the Entertainment World~*
It has been said that Chris Brown was charged with felony counts of assult. The reason that this charge is on his record is because he physically abused Robyn Fenty, better known as Rihanna. All the while gossip fills the air and the media, the truth is know one really knows the entire truth as to what caused this type of harsh altercation. I personally think that this situation could have happen for the better. What I mean by that is that this could have been a wake-up call for society. This situation can be a perfect example used to let the world know that domestic violence happens everywhere, and not just certain parts of the world. I really think that everyone should understand that domestic violence doesn’t have a price, age, or color on it. What I’m saying is that whether you are rich, poor, average, young, old, black, or white you can still experience this type of abuse. Domestic violence is not about any of that, it’s about control! When someone else thinks they have power over you, they think they control you. This type of abuse comes from not only men, but women too. The reason that the other person does not automatically try to get themselves out of this situation is because of fear. Sometimes people fear that if they try to get out of the situation that most likely they’ll get themselves killed, or put someone else’s life in danger, possibly their child/children, or any other family members/close friends. Whatever the excuse may be, it’s not good enough to continue to tolerate this type of treatment. Abuse is not only physically, it can be emotionally as well as spiritually. If this blog applies to you, and you feel like for whatever reason that you can’t get out of your situation, that’s a lie! Get out before it’s too late! You can’t expect anyone else to help you if you don’t help yourself first. If you’re being abused in any type of way and you think that person is showing their love for you, you’re wrong! Love is a lot of things, but abusive is not one of them! Love yourself enough to know your self-worth!
