Teenagers

Teenagers

Young people feel that they are grown when they reach a certain age like sixteen and seventeen. By law you are not officially grown until you reach eighteen (females) and twenty-one (males), but there are responsibilities that comes with being grown. You have to be able to pay your bills on time, stand on your own without any assistance, and bring in a stable income. The teenagers today feel that they could mooch off their parents or guardians for the rest of their lives, and they alright. But still want to call them grown. If you are not bringing in no income you are not grown.
Teenagers feel since they are graduating out of High School they can do what ever they want. But if you are still living at home with your parent or guardian that’s not going to happen. It will feel so much better to have your own home, then continue living in some one else home ant them constantly telling you what to do. There are a lot of teenagers that don’t like to be told what to do, but are living in someone else’s home. You have to obey there rules or leave. No one is going to let you live in there home and you continue to disrespect them and their home.
“I’m grown”, “I can do whatever I want”, “you can’t tell me what to do”, are just some things teenagers say when they call themselves maturing. Even though they are not maturing in an appropriate manner. Saying comments like that is hurting them. Being able to say you are grown is a privilege. If you can’t stand by it, why say it? Many teens think grown is being able to smoke without hiding it. Those are just the little things that are not important when you are grown. Just because you are able to purchase liquor doesn’t mean you can go home and disrespect your parent or guardian in their home. It’s not easy being an teen adult.
